3D Art
Like the rivers carrying the new water to the seas, 3D art enters our world as a quintessence of technological progress. 3D art is often referred as visualization of our dreams in real world, projects and the imagination fancy game. Our fantasies become even though virtual but a reality! The limits of the possible for 3D technologies are extended faster and become more and more efficient.
Since the early 1990s the contemporary computer art concept has extended significantly. Many modern digital drawing professionals have gradually realized that they need a clear-cut guide to modern computer digital imagery tendencies, as the new art was developing fast, but there was no proper scientific background for the new art, no system or even a list of new concepts. Nowadays things gradually change, but still for those people who do not know much about 3D art it is not so easy to distinguish among all the styles, trends and other peculiarities. So our collection is intended to be a guide into the frontier of current trends of modern visual art and culture. It includes lots of digital masters’ works and also young and promising 3D artists that have recently entered digital arts. You will also see already well-known genres as fantasy, SF or science fiction, abstract, digital landscape, etc.
Even though, fantasy art, science fiction, and surreal art themes prevail in 3D art we do not limit our gallery to surrealism or fantastic art only. Photography, vector and pixel art are here as well. Check out some modern art genres that we present here, such as abstract, Celtic art, dream art, dark art or Gothic, digital realism, photorealism, fantastic realism, fantasy, visionary art, sci-fi art, neo-surrealism, neo-romanticism, magic realism, digital landscape design, 3D body-art, psychedelic, pop-art, post cyberpunk, cyberpunk, post-surrealism and few others.
It is considered to be a new form of art that has opened new options for designers but we can find out what really 3D art is.
According to modern dictionaries 3D digital art are graphics that form and use a 3D representation of geometry, that is math formulae. Even though to many people, math seems to be not as exciting as art, 3D uses it extensively with most stunning results. Math in 3D design software, like AutoCad, helps to make models for future housing projects or cars. 3D art is also used for developing computer games, cinema, animation, scenery, architecture, prototypes and 3D construction models.
The very principle of computer visualization has been known already for tens of years, but till recent times its use has been limited by first enormous computers. The first experiments with computer graphics started in post-war years - entertaining, but senseless abstract drawings appeared then by means of oscillographs. One of the first applications of digital art in cinema production was Stanley Kubrick's well-known epopee «2001: A Space Odyssey» (1968). But the real break into a computer reality occurred in 80 - 90th years. After the so-called "digital revolution» anyone who knew how to turn on computer could access the art of creation of the virtual worlds. Today any more or less decent enterprise does not do without the help of CAD systems. For certain, nowadays everyone heard at least something about 3D, but still very few can realize its true potential.
Just think, every day 3D art brings closer and closer the day when old human dream - "creation" of the alternative reality, which is much better than the present, will come true, giving to everyone a good chance for self-realization.
3D attractions, certainly, make life a little bit more beautiful and pleasant, charge emotionally, and help to cheer up. After working all day long it is good to switch over in the late evening. The strict logics is replaced with emotions, hidden feelings and wonderful images come to life, and you feel yourself again as a live being, not just a bunch of neurons.
